Rudolph and Michelle’s Wedding

Words truly fail me when it comes to this wedding, and even more so when it comes to the couple.

Words truly fail me when it comes to this wedding, and even more so when it comes to the couple. Every part of the day was something to write a book about, so I will just share my favourite bits. Michelle was such a relaxed bride.  When the time was right, she and her four bridesmaids made their way to the ceremony in the raw forest of Magoebaskloof. It was a good 1.5km they had to hike – but Michelle was prepared with comfortable shoes! They worshiped all the way and Michelle was stunned at how her bridegroom transformed the forest into a chapel with a flower roof (which still allowed you to see the clouds and trees and feel the wind) and a wooden cross.

An absolute highlight of this wedding was the wine pairing dinner – a five course meal (compliments of The Chef’s Bench), enjoyed under open skies with kokedame plants made by the couple and loved ones themselves.

The scenery was something out of this world and I felt so privileged to capture this day after listening to speech after speech on how this couple is impacting their immediate environment and people around them. There were so many holy moments of prayer, anointing and sharing testimonies of God’s goodness. Every now and again a few raindrops would fall – almost like God was reminding us that He was also joining in the wedding feast, celebrating the unity of this couple.
