Ricus and Anneke – Wedding

Anneke, the main character, aptly glowed like a princess in a fairytale.

My excitement over this wedding started with the fact that I got to travel to Cape Town! It was my very first wedding shoot in the beautiful mother city – more specifically, in the enchanting small town of Wellington. Trips like these make me fall in love with South Africa all over again! And what better way to fall in love than with the backdrop of a fairytale wedding!?

How I love it when a wedding is more than a wedding and that is what Anneke and Ricus’ day was! It is an inspiring testimony; a captivating story of prayer, patience and tears – lot of tears! Luckily, the story ends with tears of joy from a thankful bride and so many happy friends and family members.

To celebrate their love story, the theme of the wedding was books, stories and fairytales. Every guest received a book with a personal letter inside, written by the bride and groom. Everything from the invitations, decor and cake to the speeches reflected this special theme.

Anneke, the main character, aptly glowed like a princess in a fairytale. She was beaming with joy – laughing and enjoying every second of her storybook day!

I love your story, Anneke and Ricus – so different from the average love story. I pray for opportunity upon opportunity to share with others how God brought you together and how thankful we all are that He had not done it any earlier…God’s timing is best!
